New York born Marc Jacobs studied first at the High Shool of Art and Design than at the prestigious parsons Shool of Art and Design. Spotted for his final studies collection he became adored by the journalists with his grunge collection for Perry Ellis by the end of the 80's. Eversince he creates for his own brand in association with his business partner  Robert Duffy. His collections melt funk, chic an and trash in a very 70's retro style.In 1992 he is the youngest designer to receive the CFDA's Best Womenswear disegner of the year award. Head of the Louis Vuitton creation since 1997 he goes on collecting awards for his achievements. 

The tone of the summer collection was minimal, sporty, and athletic with bright anoraks, saturated hues, and a loose fit to most garments.
